Just after University business professor Naheed Nenshi announced his plans to run for Calgary's top job, he sat down with the Herald's Kim Guttormson and Rick Donkers to talk civic politics. As a former city hall watcher, Nenshi has previously raised several issues with how city council conducts its business. At the top of his priority list is council accountability. @TheAntilam I have to say. I'm an Athiest, not a big fan of Islam, yet I voted for Nenshi. Why? Because he's a reasonable person. I have beef with religion because almost all are filled with bad ideas and lack reasons/evidence. Nenshi has good ideas and good reasons. He may be a muslim, but that's not really his fault. He was probably just brought up as a muslim. If anything he's probably a closet athiest as his beliefs for the most part are not even remotely in line with Islam.
