MRI guided Focused Ultrasound Surgery, or MRgFUS, treats uterine fibroids non-invasively in an out patient setting without the need for general anesthesia or hospitalization, greatly reducing recovery time and the risks of side effects.
@Wankitt Everyone should know their insurance, what they are responsible for (copays, deductibles (in and out of network) ALWAYS try and see an in network dr. Here is something most people do not know: Your doctors office is NOT ALLOWED to balance bill the patient meaning what the insurance company pays the doctor is supposed to accept. You are NOT to pay the difference. If you see yourself in that situation you must call your insurance company and let them know! Millions do not realize this!
@Wankitt I disagree with the doctors being in on it...the insurance companies and drs have to work out a contract agreement in order to be paid. The insurance companies always pay LOWER than what the doctors ask for. And each year the reimbursement rates go DOWN, your insurance company charges MORE. Ive worked in a doctors office for over 13 yrs now and 12 were doing the insurance part of it. That means I would call your insurance company and make sure your claims would get paid.
I was told it cost 10,000.00 and BC&BS won't cover. This is 2010! Insurance companies should cover. They want us to suffer in our wallet and out! Insurance companies and doctors are in this together, too many surgeries ,not healing people.
