I have an Idea. Stop blaming the prick in the SUV and turn off your computers. Turn off your AC in the summer, and turn off your heater in the winter. stop taking your summer vacation trips. Stop leaving every light on in your house while watching mindless American Idol. Stop putting up Christmas lights. ETC ETC. Basically stop being American.

"Whom the gods would destroy they first make mad." We are so out of touch with reality that I doubt even the "oil god" could save us if we had as much of it as we wish. We make up our truth as we go along- certifiably insane in any other age, to reckoned as madmen by our descendants.

40 years? 2 or 3 would be a better guess.
