This recorded by Michael Raymond in Irving, Texas off of the radio on WBAP-FM/AM 96.7/820 AM. The nationwide test was supposed to go off without a hitch but some areas reported a failure in the test itself. The test here had the message shoot off after the test was over. Then it had multiple radio stations behind 96.7 FM begin the test in the middle of the 96.7 test.

  • Texas......eh.....not surprised it failed.....

  • @sk8erboi342 Actually, Texas wasn't the only state. Several states reported having problems with their EAS equipment.

  • Do you know how the TV Stations went?

  • @ojtheprep The test failed on them as well. If the PEP fails, then everything fails. Like a domino effect.

  • Isn't WBAP supposed to send the EAS Messages to all the TV and Radio Stations?

  • @ojtheprep Yes they are. So is KSCS. WFAA, and some others did the test but failed today since the bridge was broken between FEMA and the PEP (Primary Entry Point) e.g KSCS, or WBAP.

  • Ew... Rush Limbaugh... anyway, we got the test 3 minutes late here in Frankfort, KY and the feed from radio station WSTV was unintelligible and cut out after 3 seconds...

  • on a diff. video, someone suggested 'a little fine tuning'

  • We had problems in Louisville, KY. The audio message on 101.3 FM was unintelligible.
