Learning how to sail a Vanguard 15 in preparation for the NWICSA Orcas Team Race. Mostly just trying to get down roll tacking in very flat boat in light wind.

  • the boat's not supposed to sideslip to leeward when you tack... you're stalling out the boards rolling up too fast.

  • Thanks for posting this. I have been a sailor all of my life, but I never learned to race small boats. I purchased a V15 last summer, and I never did quite get a roll tack down in it. Watching this is helpful.
