A number of months back I posted a video here paying tribute to Alma College.....Due to the recent fire I have had many requests to repost it ...so here it is...Hope you enjoy it ..
i can't understand why it was left to go to ruin like this--in the uk we'd have english heritage -a state funded council onto it straight away to preserve it--is there no such equivalent in canada. also who set fire to it-can they be named and shamed on here? and their photos posted.
this was my school for two years... as an International student from Venezuela, this is where my journey with English and Canadian culture began... I now remember my teachers and friends...
it was a beautiful school in 1976-77, I didn´t know that it was in such a state...and then the fire! I´m so sad...thanks for posting this vid.
This is awsome, I have tears streaming down my face, what a wonderful piece. For many this was our home, we grew up in this building, Ran laughing down the stairs only to be sent all the way back up, just so we could walk down like proper young ladies. Thank you. Is there a way to purchase this on dvd?
The building is in St. Thomas, Ontario Canada. I was on vacation and saw it. It was a wonderful historic building! My friend (who lived up there) told me that it burned down about a year after I had seen it.
What a beautiful structure and memories of so many people that walked those halls. What a shame it was let go like this. I have no clue where this is but rest in ashes as it has gone back to the Lord.
This song fits so well with the images!
it was an very beautiful building
