yea that was supposed to be a minor aspect of hip hop. obviously we gotta brag sometimes but corporations exploited that aspect and coaxed rappers, who cooperated, into making that part of most of their content...

We seem to forget about Kweli, Mos Def, The Roots, Q- Tip. These are all artists who still make good music.

pro tools was an excellent album, I think it was probably his best since liquid swords, despite being a bit underproduced. But Maybe I just think its so good because theres nothing great coming out to compare it too.
