Hannibal (in litter) and Nero (in wheel) enjoying a tube treat!
You can make these treats easily for next to no cost. Take an empty toilet paper tube (clean of course), and fold the ends in on one side. Make sure it's not easy to tug it open. Put in two separate squares of bunched toilet paper to plug that end. Add treats--a few cheerios, a bread crumb, a nut, a yogie--anything your rat loves. Then add two more separate sheets of toilet paper on top, then fold the other end in on it making sure you can't easily tug it open. There's a cheap rat treat to keep your friends happy.
