Volcanoes - Firestorm

A compilation of footage from explosive volcanoes filmed by Katia and Maurice Krafft. Thes two volcanologists dedicated their lives to study volcanoes and in the end, died because of their passion.

In June 1991, while filming eruptions at Mount Unzen, they were caught in a pyroclastic flow which unexpectedly swept out of a channel others had been flowing down and onto the ridge they were standing on. They were killed instantly, along with 40 journalists also covering the eruptions.

This video is dedicated to their work in trying to understand one of nature's most powerful forces. RIP Katia and Maurice Krafft.
