Barry Darsow is... MONGOLIAN???

Do Mongolians say "stinkin" a lot? The future Demolition Smash, Repo Man, Blacktop Bully, Hole in One Darsow, etc... is seen here as a very young rookie in 1983, potraying a Mongolian gimmick "Zar" as part of a "Mongols" tag team. They are billed as Mongolian powerlifting champions and Darsow displays some of his strength here.

Check out Darsow's Mongolian partner "Gor", who doesn't even attempt to hide his American accent. The man doing the interviewing is wrestler Lars Anderson still in his wrestling gear. Lars & Mark Lewin would often work as interviewers as well as wrestle on the same show.

@BottomlessJackDaniel Darsow's Demolition tag team partner Bill Eadie also worked as a Mongolian in the MidAtlantio territory in the '70s. He was Bolo of the Mongols; he replaced Nikolai Volkoff who had originally been Beppo. Geeto was former jobber Tony "Skunkman" Newberry. Beppo and Geeto were the last WWWF US tag champs in 1971. After that the title became the WWWF world tag title.
