@tcash3 Exactly. Power on the forehand doesn't come from moving forward, as that won't add too much racket head speed. It comes from a mix of having some form of forward momentum, which is often generated by the trunk rotation, and letting the energy transfer through the arm to the handle to the head of the racket by the time the contact point is reached out front. the one hander gets power from the extension of both arms outward simultaneously. He's getting his power from large muscles even now

@tcash3 Probably because this is just practice... I really think the point wuld have been raised by his coach already if it was an issue!

i know federer is god of tennis but i thought we have to move our body slightly forward to get the forward momentum to get more force on the ball. hes just swinging his arm, isnt that less power, and more strain on your arm and wrists?
