Eurasian Collared-Dove calling

The dove calls for a while until a cranky Western Wood-Pewee chases the dove from his perch.

Can't understand why some people get annoyed with this soft, cooing sound. What a bunch of cranky wankers. You'd think they'd welcome such a nature sound amongst all the traffic noise, car alarms, sirens, construction equipment, etc. Take your stupid rifle and shoot out that leaf-blower machine I hear in the parking lot every night. I'd rather be listening to collared-doves.

I love it! This sound reminds me a hot summer and sunshine. Also blackbird's sing and swift's screech reminds me it.

Very annoying. There is one of these across my neighbors backyard and it never stops doing this, this has been going on now for 4 months.

God forbid I try and go to bed late at night because inevitably one of these things will have woken up the nanosecond it starts to get even slightly light, sat itself right outside my window, and started making this call over and over and over again.
