Hey there
oh that sucks you got grounded, it sounds like what my parents used to do when they got mad and wouldnt talk about things to make a compromise, here are two ideas:
1) if you can, tell him you want to talk to him later, when he has some free time and ask him to talk to you about why he is grounding

you. Come up with three things you will do to try to get better grades (show him a study guide you make, study for an extra 30 minutes on sundays, have him test you on test facts in the car etc) then tell him you will try these three things if he doesnt ground you
2) if he will not talk to you then you should write him a letter with the three things, be

sure to say sorry for not getting good grades and give it to him to look at.
Sometimes when it is in writing, they actually look at it and think about it.
