If anyone has any idea how to solve this i would appreciate it..

My problem is, the disk drive won't stay in the console, with or without a disk in it just won't stay shut, when i turn the console off the tray ejects and stays like that.... Also the green LED light on the power button is constantly blinking..

Ive tried another identical disk drive and it does the same thing, can anyone work out whats wrong? Im just wondering if its a fault on the motherboard? (if so how can this be fixed?) If anyone could shed any light on this i'll be very greatful.

  • this is caused when you try to flash the console and use the xbox for power,i know cos i did the same fuckin thing !!!!! but the fix i hunted for ages on the internet defo works, microsoft bastards

  • new drive will not make an ounce of difference, send me a message and i will send you a link hot to fix this, its a motherboard problem requiring soldering a wire to a specific place on the back of the board

  • just replace the disk drive for a new one. cause i didn't have the same problem as what your having but my disk drive was making my xbox have weird loud noises. and i replaced it and it stopped. so just try another disk drive and it should work and make sure its in good conditon cause re-furbish ones are Not the best.
