@imt206 Jalousie with a little hernando's Hideaway in there too..very popular choice of floor music..Produnova used the best combo in my opinion look up her floor in 1997 Worlds EF
Betty didn't have the best technique in her leaps, but her turning ability and the expression in her dance was spot on. an elegant full-turn with leg extended above head? Admit it....Betty is killing your favs!
I didn't say she couldn't dance...I implied she doesn't compare to Soviet greats. I'm aware she competed in dance with her brother; it was in tap. As I said, I found fault with the routine. You make a really good point that it's not her fault Geza couldn't properly show off her strengths. My favorite FX performance of hers is actually the 94 Gold Gymnastics Spectacular, an exhibition. She looks more fluid and relaxed and finishes out the movements. The problem may just be the choreo...
Betty was/is a great dancer. She was a competitive dancer with her brother before she got big in gymnastics. She then danced for cirque du soleil, if im not mistaken. not her fault geza couldnt really show her off. her 92 routine to hernandos hideaway is actually very nice, as were all her routnes.
I thought the 89 Russian team was exquisite in terms of dance. I always thought Bogi was overrated. I always loved Betty's lines though and her routines were always fun to watch. Her best routines were the 90 Goodwills and the 91 American Cup AA, she did the most difficult routine there I had ever seen. I also think you should check out Michelle Campi, she, along with Melissa Marlowe, and Kathy Johnson, are the only other Americans that could be grouped along with the Russians.
This was a great routine, but the score 9.912 was a true gift

In a way, she has the grace and elegance of Nadia.
