A 7/29/08 news report from WCJB on efforts by opponents of Gainesville, Florida's amended anti-discrimination ordinance to overturn it. The ordinance, which passed last January, amended the city's existing law to give "gender identity" the same protection status as discrimination based on "sexual orientation, race, color, gender, age, religion, national origin, marital status or disability" relating to housing, employment, credit and public accommodation. Opponents are trying to reduce this to an issue of "Keep men out of women's restrooms." (7/30/08)
