Solid Gold Dancer Spotlight II: Deborah Jenssen

A second spotlight created as a "Thank You" to Ms. Jenssen for privately contacting me to say she appreciated the 1st "Spotlight" I made.

Deborah, a dancer from the orginal special SOLID GOLD '79 and through 4 season of SOLID GOLD. She also dance in all 40 espisodes of SOLID GOLD HITS during her final season of SOLID GOLD.

@TheTinydancer235 Just watched the video with Paula. Girls are lookin' good! I actually took up dance lessons and was getting pretty good. Being a wallflower all my life (I was the last person you would ever see dancing) I realize now that I wasted all those years not knowing how to dance.Dance lessons are a lot of fun, just wish they weren't so expensive. Tango is my favorite. Thanks for writing Tinydancer.

I loved being a youngster back then. I had The Bionic Woman as my female heroin role model, Pat Benatar was someone I always admired (hence my YT channel devoted to Pat Benatar-my personality was Pat's stage alter ego), and Deborah Jenssen I wanted to look like her because she looked so sexy, (and we were built the same; I had dark hair and "developed" early).

Dam, Probably my favourite brunette, she gave me a whole new appreciation for short-haired brunettes which really didn't appeal to me that much at the time for some stupid reason. Her biggest talent was her dancing ability, in a bunch of dancers I would look for her first and just marvel at her lines and how she oozed sexuality. The very long legs, the way she could arch her back and throw out her booty was pure exctasy. Any recent pics IbCharmed?

I remember I was in high school and after getting home from school thinking how cool it was to be able to turn the tv on and watch my sweet Deborah every weekday instead of having to wait for the weekend to watch her. For me personally Deborah was my last link to having interest in Solid Gold. When she left I pretty much lost interest. If it wasn't for her, I would have lost interest 2 years earlier after Helene left. My 2 sweet Solid Gold Sirens! Never forget you!

I am forty two, I watch SG solely for Deborah. I think it was her that gave me the taste for dark hair brunnette gals, which I always sought in my dating years. Her look became my ideal female, to this day (I know I am one of thousands that feel the same.)

Something about her had an undefinable quality, that made her unique. The 80's had many iconic babes: Bo, Farrah, Susuzanne Somers, Daisy Duke, none was sexier than Deborah Jenssen

She was probably my favorite Solid Gold dancer too...this was a cool show; great dancers and lots of great music for them to dance to...not true today! I sorely miss good music and fun tv shows like this.

I must say that I agree that Gayle does look REALLY GOOD in those pics from almost 2 years ago. I saw her in them and I was a little taken by how good she looked. Still love Deborah but you are correct about Gayle. Her husband's a lucky man.
