I have seen DE many times over the years and love reading about other people's memories and wonder if they saw the same gigs as me. Did anyone catch Rockpile at Canvey Island gig circa 1978 with Feelgoods, Eddie and The Hot Rods and Lew Lewis? It was fantastic but we had hitched from Birmingham and got soaked on the way. We were going to sleep in a bus shelter but were so wet we spent all our beer money on a B&B to get dry. The Limboheads.

From the era when bands could actually play their instruments.

Brilliant - real rock and roll

I've loved these guys separately and together for 40 years!

I caught Rockpile 3 times in the 80's. What a fun band to catch live! Edmunds, Lowe, Billy Bremner, and Terry Williams (of Dire Straits fame) really knew how to ROCK IT. This song is vintage Rockpile at their best.

@alan4sure Man, you nailed it on this one. Today's slick, overproduced pop bands can't hold a candle to this material. Edmunds is a true devotee of music when it mattered, ala the fifties and sixties, and his "Sweet Little Lisa" feat. Albert Lee is truly remarkable stuff.

AWESOME!!

Everybody copied Chuck Berry. The early Beach Boys stole some of his riffs note for note and he sued them for it. Keith Richards always uses Chuck Berry riffs. I think the most covered Rock song of all time is "Johnny B. Goode."

absolutely fantastic, these guys are still on the road and as good as ever!

I saw Rockpile live at Harpos in Detroit when they toured the USA back then. I would love to see any video or photos from that concert, but so far none have surfaced. Anyone...?

This era of music makes the crap passing for music today sound like the crap most of it is.
