Hey voice is damaged. She needs to go on vocal rest stat, and if shes smoking and drinking quit it. Shes needs to respect her voice more, its a blessing. Shes shot in this performance and was a few years back when she did Bloc Party too, but not THIS bad. Sad story because shes got the raw talent to put out many more albums, but her head isn't straight.

i was at this concert. Shit was sad i fuckin loved Lauryn hill. Everyone started leaving pissed off and throwing stuff at her & all that. (& it was like fuckin 90degrees that day wtfs up with the leather jacket) Smh Crack kills.

I love Lauryn's voice but I think she smokes. That is the only reason for her voice to CONSISTENTLY sound so strained. She once said it was because she doesn't rest her voice but come on now. She has to be a smoker..

Exactly. People left after she started mashing some of her hits with other songs. How can someone expect her to come out and do 10-year-old songs the exact same way she did them on the album? She flipped the script and I appreciated that.
