  • i know i am late to the conversation but regardless of the notes he brings such a presence to a stage that shinedown has some of the best concerts to date.I was at this one in particular and let me tell you I will remember this night as one of the best in my life... Brent is a pure man of rock and will always live on as one of the greatest artists of his time.

  • @ToolPride Another idiot not aware of the notes Brent has pulled off, even throughout THIS year...people saying his voice is getting worse, and that he´s not able to pull off any of his own songs anymore. Heard the version of "Save me" in the carnival of madness, listen to the extreme F5 he reaches there or "with a little help from my friends" - Kansas city/2011... Not talking about lip sinc like the chorus of "I dare you" or some shit like that... He´s an amazing vocalist. Dontshitonyourownleg.

  • @sansomsansom09 He cant hit high notes for shit though

  • @Mdome32 i totaly agree with you man

  • Brent you're beautiful....Shinedown you own.....

  • Brent sure can whale.

i would say he is the best live performer ive ever heard. along with foo fighters.

  • @Elliottheath

Yeah, I mean I absolutely love this band, and I understand that hitting these notes can take a toll on your voice, but why not release a CD with vocals you can actually sing live? Then when you go to the concert you aren't distracted by it, and afterward you can say "Wow they sound just like they do on CD!"

The best example I can think of is Breaking Benjamin. They sing live just like they sing on CD, and it's definitely to their advantage.

  • totally agree

  • i will agree with you on the fact that it would seem like a dissapointment at first, but considering how high those notes are i would prefer he undercut them then blow out his voice on stage.

  • actually Brent can hit the notes, but you got to understand that night after night takes a toll on your voice and you can't do it every single night without some vocal rest. That is a fact.
