I'm always amazed how efficient scientific communication could be anywhere else but in France where I live. You could expect kids to be interested in those fields then. And populating european research institutes would not be that big concern. German-speaking countries have smartly named their research centers the right way: as Fraunhofer, Max Planck and so on. France has a big gap to fill to meet a better image of her scientific community which uses cold acronyms as CNRS, INSERM whatsoever
