The Sarchu plain at 14500 ft was a 45 km dust bowl that choked to death both cars and drivers. A true example of extreme conditions as the Himalayan raids encounter.

  • The olden days were the Golden days. Now the sport has been killed by the politics of M.A.I and F.M.S.C.I. I was one of the victims of the tussle and politics.

  • @Vijay: Was the Swaraj Mazda a support vehicle or was it competing as well. Have some real fond memories driving Swaraj Mazda's. The 2815mm SWB one was best in term of P/W. Hats off to you guys to have done these in the 80's. So miss the Himalayan Rally!

  • Amazing Video!!!
