Les Claypool performing "D's Diner" live at Gathering of the Vibes 2007. Les Claypool is widely known for his electric bass guitar playing, portraying a wide array of influence into his playing. Claypool's playing style collaborates "finger-tapping, flamenco-like strumming, and a Larry Graham-like slap technique," together creating a style all his own.

Claypool has been involved in a number of different musical groups and projects such as the band Primus, Sausage, Holy Mackerel, Oysterhead, The Frog Brigade, Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains, Of Whales and Woes and the Fancy Band. Les Claypool's eccentric personality and creativity are expressed within every performance, making for a one-off performance every outing.
