When I was in 4th grade I was also 9 years old. I was gay and I knew it, but I had no one to talk to and had to keep it a shameful secret until i was in middle school. It's okay to be gay and I wish I had a teacher tell me that when I was younger too.

muslims and gays are two COMPLETELY different ideas. islam is a religion. the only reason why people don't like them is because they have extremists that give them a bad name. catholics and christians have fundamentalists that also give us a bad name (i'm catholic and gay). in both respects, there is no reason whatsoever that the teachers should get fired. there is nothing wrong with either of them. being gay is okay. being muslim is okay. live and let live.

You should be proud of your children for being open-minded and if your kids really are gay than it's not because they had a gay teacher but because of other reasons. And why do you have a problem with an openly muslim teacher? They're normal people just like you and your children. I think this country won't go down the drain because of gays and muslims but because of small-minded people like you. :p

My son came home from the first week of school and asked me "Dad, why are they teaching us to be gay?" At first i laughed, but after he explained his teacher said it's PERFECTLY NORMAL to have feeling for the SAME GENDER, and students are ENCOURAGED to EXPLORE their feelings. I just about shit a brick. I send my kids to school to learn what they need to know to get through life. NOT TO HAVE SOME "I'M SO COMFORTABLE WITH MY SEXUALITY" ASSHOLE TO FUCK WITH MY KIDS HEAD!! they're home schooled now.

my history teacher is gay, SO WHAT he's the funniest and legendary teacher at my school, he always likes to have a laugh :D

I think it's perfectly fine, my elementary school teachers would sometimes talk about their lives, like if they were going got get married, so why shouldn't he be able to mention something like that? It was a good answer, he gave the student some information without getting too personal. And it would be good to be able to mention it so casually. Being gay should be taught to this new generation as similar to being left handed... less common, but equal, and not even worth a second thought.

the teacher didn't say anything wrong. all he did was say that he wasn't allowed to do something. he didn't add any opinion, and he wasn't telling the kid what to think, or anything bad. maybe he should have just said 'no, i'm not married,' but he did nothing wrong. on the other hand though, he was kinda doing something right, because, as a teacher, you are supposed to teach, and he was using the student's question to bring up an important political subject.

why isnt my music teacher fired yet? hes really gay
