Something you need to understand about oil companies not paying taxes is this: the land the rigs go on, the oil coming out of the ground, the waste coming out the ground, the pipeline, the trucking companies licensing, trucking companies road miles, licensing for refineries, waste from refineries, gasoline trucking licensing, road miles for gasoline shipping, state and federal taxes on gas are all taxes that come out of oil company's profits. I'm a layman so I probably missed a ton of taxes.
