@badvladek13 Greece was magnificent, no doubt about that. But Rome was victorious at the Battle of Corinth in 146 BC because the Alexandrian tactics used by the Greeks made it easy for the outnumbered Romans to outflank the cumbersome Greeks. They also had Iron weapons and armor, far superior to the Greek bronze. I'm not insulting the Greek Empire, nor the memory of Alexander, the greatest conqueror of the ancient world. Simply stating fact.

@SilentWingsOfFreedom The Byzantine empire became Greek after all....it Hellenized...because Greeks were culturally superrior to Romans...as example take the education of the byzantine empire it was all greek.... and the official language...turned into GREEKS....from latin...Furthermore....Romans conquered Greece because we had problems and war between us... we were separated that time.... so thats why ....

@thelimegreenchannel Well, Rome had been gradually falling for about 3 centuries. It was a gradual thing, compared to being conquered outright all at once. And the Byzantine Empire, the eastern half of the Roman Empire lasted almost a millennium longer before it too fell. Those big empires never run out of enemies. Once they conquer one group another comes along to take their place.
