In this video i took 4 songs and re-arranged them. I used two instances of Virtual DJ. The Nanopad controlled 2 decks and the Dj tech imix controlled the other two decks. everything was routed into Ableton and then alltogether back into the BCD3000.

These samples and more info are posted on Dj TechTools.com

THE RULES * You can use any mapping or controller * You must use the 4 songs provided * You can use Ean´s cue points or choose your own * The performance must be created and recorded for this contest. * You can use any software but the remix must be played live

Equipment used :

Virtual DJ
Dj-Tech i-mix reload
Korq NanoPad
Ableton Live 8
Behringer BCD3000 as Sound device

  • This is horrible

  • @CPietro77777777 you can not do it better, do you?

  • hey man can you tell me or send me a URL where i can find the skin of v dj that you are using at this video?

  • @aris97237445 that has been a custom skin i did use at that time, supporting multiple instances of VDJ to be used at the same time. VDJ nowadays officially supports up to 99 decks, so the place to look is the vvdj homepage. Go and support the program if you like it

  • a bit out of sync at the beginning but not bad bro keep the good work

  • RIP my man Guru!

  • Your set up is nig rigged and ghetto.

  • the fuck?

  • @tranjohn sorry i never got the time to answer you. i am very glad i picked the imix at that time, i still use it and its still in very good working order. i hope you enjoy yours aswell. I once got my hands on a typhoon and didnt like it, so i think you made the right choice

  • @kofi246 thats natively build in, but i made my own mapping, where it triggers differently

  • @ronmcmetal thx alot. for the record, i almost only use the sampler section, without beatlock or sync engaged. only good timed one shot and loop samples

  • @norberto920 thats a DJ-Tech IMIX reload, the one without a build in soundcard. I have a NI Audio external soundcard

  • @tranjohn hey, sorry i never came around answering. I picked the nanopad up for about 50$ too. I´d say the akai lpd8 is better by far. The x-y pad (mouse-thingy ) is´nt that great tbh, id rather have the knobs that the lpd8 offers

  • @0x12d3 thank you. If you liked this video, i think you will like this too : youtube.com/watch?v=_7rnVOGt5JY

  • Sounded a little disjointed at first, but very well done. Respect. What really convinced me to bother to log in and comment though was to give shouts to the old school keyboard @ 1:27

  • do u have mappings for the nanopad?

  • you do a really good job of getting it back in sync if it slips, thats where everyone looses their shit.

  • very nice man

  • thats allooooooooooooooooooooot of computers.....................

  • can you say dope??

  • can you say dope??

  • what midi controller are you using??(the orange one)

  • Can u upload more video of u spinning on the Dj Tech:) Please lol

I'm thinking about getting the Korg Nanopad also:) How much u pick it up for? I seen it on ebay for about $50 buy now. Is this better than the Akai LPD8? Or this is better cause of that mouse thingy pad whatever u call it (lol) that's on it??? Thanks

  • @greatmesk i just bought an Dj Tech imix Reload and still waiting on delivery:) So do u think i made a good choice on the Dj Tech? I ws deciding between the Dj Tech and the Vestax typhoon. Typhoon was $249 buy now on ebay and the Dj Tech i picked up for $230 buy now:) U think the Typhoon is better or bout the same? Should i use Virtual Dj as my software instead of using the ones that it came with? Thanks for ur videos really enjoy them and very helpful:)

  • @jahoneil yes, of course i do. Just like everyone else who is using a official version and not a crack. Try the latest VDJ demo, the imix is natively supported
