Charted at #12 in Billboard in June 1954. Trumpet solo played by Mitch Miller. Also #8 on the Country chart for Billy Walker in 1954. Original Billboard review: "The feeling and emotion that the thrush pours into this lovely tune, originally started in the country market, makes it look like a solid follow-up to Miss Stafford's current click "Make Love to Me". The Paul Weston backing is attractive." Written by Cindy Walker. B-side is "Where Are You?".

  • Beautiful. Very moving. I had not heard this one. But Stafford's 'You Belong To Me' was one of my favorites. Her songs were VERY popular in India during the fifties. Wow! Your posts are so rewarding to the listener.

  • @Isrek1 Thank you very much! I really appreciate your comments and love reading them. It's much more fulfilling to me sharing my favorite music when people take the time to comment and let me know what they think.

  • Jo Stafford almost always understates the words to her ballads which makes her so worth listening to..She certainly deserves being placed very highly amoung the greats of the 1950's.
