In this video I unbox the Intel Core i7 C0 Stepping Quad Core Processor. The Core i7 is Intel's newest quad core offering. The Core i7 is a 2.66 GHz CPU with 8MB L3 Cache. It was build using a 45nm process utilizes Intel's new LGA1366 socket. The Core i7's now use QPI also known as Quick Patch Interconnect which replaces the front side bus. Also, the memory controller is now on the chip on no longer on the motherboard. I am going to be using this i7 in my upcoming Core i7 Gaming PC build. Stay tuned for more videos.

  • be careful with touching it like that lol

  • It's not as fragile as you think.

  • You know sometimes when you toach a car and you get a little electric shock. Spark+chip=bye bye few hundred bucks

  • That is why you touch a piece of grounded metal before you touch any kind of electrical hardware. My body was perfectly grounded before touching this CPU.

  • have the 965 :)

  • to be honest, when thinking on the price difference (here in Sweden though) it's not worth it, 3.2 ghz vs 3.33..with a simple overclock you have your 965 as fast as the 975 :)

If you get the chanse to get the 965, take it ;)

You can find one in Ebay (in new condition) they have auctions sometimes so you can get it pretty cheap :)

  • @kodemunke omg ofc its a problem, u wil fuck up the pins

  • Nowadays you should just get the i7 930. It is about the same price at least here in Finland it is. And it features a bit higher stock clock speed, which makes overclocking a bit easier. ALSO, it is only D0, so you are guaranteed to get a D0, there never exists such a thing as C0 i7 930 :). Unlike the i7 920. D0 is better.

  • @eatmefaster which one has the unlocked multiplier? cant you OC both of them?

  • @benneb07 Waste of money i7 920 D0 can OC to 4.2 if you get lucky and 4.0 easy if you have a decent cooler.

  • @Anton338 Unlocked multiplier and its on 1156 motherboards.

  • dude, u know wat ur doin......its crazy how u know so much about the chip....good work.

  • @MyazXtr3me HAHA! Big mistake.

  • Gonna get the i7 930 :P
