Lenny Dee appeared on an airing of the television program Nashville Now which also featured Pete Fountain. I believe this show aired on January 25, 1988. As a result of his Nashville Now appearances, the mayor of St. Petersburg, Florida (Lenny's home turf) proclaimed January 25 "Lenny Dee Day".

I knew Lenny personally for many years and HAVE been out with him for the evening. He was a hysgterical hoot and had everyone around in stiches. And he did NOT give a damn what anyone thought. He DID have a serious side as well, I can assure you of that.

Can someone tell us about his sound? I met a guy here in Columbus Ohio who has one of the first Hammonds, an A model. We went together to go pick up me a Leslie 122 and him a C2. I think we paid $400 for the lot. A happy day. He played me a tape on the way home of this crazy playing and it sounded like an electric guitar. He then told me that it was a Hammond A and that it didn't have fold back, that all of the notes went straight across. I can't remember though if he said it was Lenny or not.
