Let me Live your Lie (original song)

'No man is an island' (or woman). Granted we can all be happy with a little freedom and independence but deep down we all need to love and be loved don't we? This original song depicts the struggle between one who wants to suffer alone, and another desperate to help.

It conveys the feelings I had watching a friend drowning in her own lack self of self esteem; a self imposed victim crippled by her memories and unable to seize the brighter future she so deserved. It conveys a time when a calm and supportive course of action was followed, when a more proactive stance may have shaken her out of her compliant state and forced her to recognise her value to me and others. I'm sure psychologists wouldn't recommend this course of action!!

The observant amongst you will notice I am not 'an island' for this recording. I had the good fortune to collaborate with my good musical friends 'Hawthorne' last weekend. If you enjoy this, look out for more of the same coming soon on a channel featuring their respective talents. I'll keep you posted.

A bug bear of mine would be the lies currently being lived out on TV by musicians on TV shows. X Factor, American Idol etc. fan the flames of brief notoriety and fame to promote that illusive cult of the celebrity 'made flesh' by the Kingmaker, Mr Cowell and his ilk. I have to leave another comment, This is a fantastic original song,

I thought it was a cover, some of us have to leave our Island and accept the help

from our friends and loved ones in order to survive. The island appears to be a safe place where people can't hurt us and we feel free, but the air is poison and the water is contaminated. Long walks, good music, good books, good company....Forget the island. Thank's Nav & friends Great song.
