Monteverde and Conklin pens have added a stub nib, to join their 'F', "M' and 'B' ones. They come in both the regular steel and the black nib versions!
@endymion84 Doing well, thanks! Yes, most people find that using a stub immediately improves the look of their handwriting -- with no additional effort. :-) In the era of quills and metal dip pens, that shading was achieved by varying pressure, which would spread the tines of the nib and deposit more or less ink. The stub mimics that effect, to a degree. And yes, the black nibs are cool! :-)
Hello. Hope you're doing well. Thanks for the video. This is the first time I've seen a stub nib compared to other more standard nibs on video before, and I finally understand why so many people love using them. That line variation is quite interesting. Not sure my handwriting's big enough to take advantage of it, though. I have trouble writing legibly with my M nib Pilot Vanishing Point if I don't pay careful attention. Really love that black nib, too. Thanks again. :D
