I DID NOTask that you use us in the future and based on your attitude, and your attitude alone, we will not provide services to any animals connected to you at any time in the future.
And despite the fact that your attitude was arrogant and mean spirited no matter how many times I apologized, I did indeed say that if you wanted to bring them back for the remainder of their stay they were welcome to come. You declined and frankly I was relieved. When you asked for a refund I told you I would write a check for a refund to your wife upon her return since she made the reservation, completed the paperwork, wrote the check for payment, and delivered the dogs for boarding.
I then had you, Mr. Ickes come to Wagging Tails and see where Rascal and Westin climbed the fence. You saw that there was no other way they could have gotten out of the large enclosure and agreed that if they had found an open gate then all the other dogs would have gotten out also. There were seven other dogs there for daycare and boarding.
In addition, three cars were dispatched from Wagging Tails to search for your dogs. When you, James (Mr. Ickes), called me you were on your way home to see if there were messages on your home phone regarding your dogs being found. I was told by you that a woman had picked up the dogs (two blocks from Wagging Tails, saw the address on the collars, and took the dogs home and put them in your back yard.
At approximately 8:30 this morning as I stepped inside to get my phone your dogs climbed the six foot chain link fence enclosure. They DID NOT JUMP. Heather (Mrs. Ickes who is on her way to Ohio) was the first call made (since I had her number but not yours) after a call to Animal Control asking for assistance in finding Rascal and Westin. The SPCA was also alerted to the fact that they were missing and might be dropped off there.
You sure make a lot of excused for losing our dogs. You seem so surprised that we would be upset about our dogs getting loose from your day care.
