1987 Iroc 5.7 TPI single T70 turbo - stock 141k mile engine at the 1/8 dragstrip 9 psi

We took the turbo Iroc to the dragstrip to see how it runs with the new turbo setup. Previous non-turbo best was 9.29 at 72.x mph and today's best was 8.67 at 82.x mph (three times). The second part of the video is with my wife driving on her second pass ever.. which she runs a 8.67 also! In fact her first pass with also 8.67 with me riding with her. I should let her drive in the future!

Car is completely stock 141k miles except for injectors, Megasquirt II 3.0, T-70 Ebay turbo and 3" catback. See my other videos for more info on this car.

Sleeper time, lol thats not to bad for street racing love the total stock look and sound. Here we had a 4 door nova that was a major sleeper single stock exhaust could not tell it was running until it dropped the 7.9 1/8 time on ya loved it

@Gorgoroth969 Haha yep I love a sleeper. I even took the window tint off to make it look as unmodified as possible. Also it's a lot quieter now than in this video, because I tied the wastegate back in to the downpipe. My goal is 6.90's (probably drag radials) but hoping to see at least 7.20's on standard radials. No one expects a stock looking/sounding Iroc to get out of the 9's 1/8th and 7's definitely gets some attention. Can't wait for 6's!

It's an Ebay T70.. so far so good at two months of use. Can't wait to go back when I get my torque converter!

Not bad man, i would get an exhaust to help that thing breathe better. I picked up .5 second by getting dual 2.5" exhaust with my vortec 350. My best run was a 13.1 at 106 with a bad 1.99 60' and letting off going into second because my tv cable is fidgety. My best 1/8 pass was an 8.44 at 84 mph. I bet with an exhaust and a 2200 stall you could run high/mid 12s. CHECK my videos

@zz3astro That's pretty sweet with an all stock engine(minus the turbo). I recently got an '88 5.7 tpi. You got any videos on how to fabricate the stock manifold to support the turbo?
