BAR - SS Level Skip

I skip half of the Sunset Sands level. The first thing I did was I found out there is a jump that lets you get over the invisible wall blocking the "offroad" area. Once you jump it, you can freely roam this place. I then found out about the pyramid, and realized using this and the momentum you get from spinning, I could skip over half the level. A few hours later and I pulled it off! I've done this many times now. It's not useful for cutting your time down though because of the invisible checkpoints all over the level (do the trick, finish a lap, you're still on lap 1)

You do realise this trick is pointless because if you do it the game doesn't count it as a lap. The best shortcut in Sunset Sands is to take the dirt track shortcut, just as you jump into the water room press 'L' and you end up in the lava room, and the game actually registers that as a legitimate lap.
