Finally got a Christmas tree (artificial) this year (apartment was too small and my work shifts, umm, "interesting"). First thing Casper did (he's 15) when I got the tree up was to Climb Mount Christmas Tree! Sorry, no photos/video of it, but boy, is it funny!

what fun the cat is having!

Only a cat person would understand the joy of having a tree taken apart by a furry critter. Its only right .. After all its is THEIR house, and they allow us humans to live in their space only by their kindness.

my cat used to do that. Now she's too fat to climb up the tree, so she sleeps under it by the presents....

Oliver is a domestic shorthair. They are nice cats. We also have black domestic short hairs, and they've all been great cats. Folks who are allergic to cats say they can be in our house without their cat allergy kicking in. I wonder if this is because of this particular breed of cat, and the short hair? Probably wouldn't work for someone who is terribly allergic, but, anyway, we've had good luck with this breed of cat all around.

The date I posted the video may have had nothing to do with the actual date of when it was shot. It takes me a while to actually post videos. I am wonderful at procrastination.

One of our cats (who has passed) loved the Christmas tree right up to when she turned 21 year old. She would stop in the doorway in the living room, wiggle her little back side and do a flying leap right into the middle of the tree and would knock it over. Another one of our cats had climbed into the tree like yours did and when we got home her darling little face was peeking out amongst the branches. They can't help themselves, lol!

Great story! Thanks for sharing! Yes, I think if I was a cat, all those lovely glittering ornaments and lights would be such a temptation, too! I'll always treasure this video, and the crash of those silly, cheap ornaments onto the floor. It is really, very funny, and precious, and worth every CRASH! Cats are such a joy, and their mischevious nature is one of the best parts.
