U.S. 40 from I-170 to I-270 04-09-2004

This video shows what U.S. 40 in St. Louis looked like before MoDOT closed it for major reconstruction. This video starts at the I-64/I-170 junction and ends at the I-64/I-270 junction. This segment of road was closed as of January 1st. 2008 as part of MoDOT's "The New I-64" Project that will change U.S. 40 forever! It's scheduled to reopen January of 2009.

I live right alongside I-64/U.S. 40. Have lived alongside it my whole life. Seeing them rebuild it was sad, yet much welcome in terms of transportation. It is much better now that it is at interstate standards.
