41 years of cherished NBA history are being threatened to be thrown away. Seattle is a top-10 market, and a renovation that happened ten years ago suddenly isn't good enough for an owner in Oklahoma City.
The sad thing is David Stern is doing nothing to stop this from happening, perhaps even starting up the moving vans for Clay Bennett to steal an NBA franchise.
What is happening in Seattle should be concerning to EVERY NBA fan who is not a fan of the Lakers, Knicks, Celtics, and Bulls. What's to keep Stern from not allowing an owner to steal your team?
Bill Simmons of ESPN has stepped up, now it is your turn. Show your displeasure with how the NBA is treating Seattle before the NBA Board of Governors votes on whether Bennett can steal the team in mid-April.

as a 76ers fan, the sonics should of stayed in seattle because i respected the sonics but the organization took them away from the city that rightfully deserved a NBA team. how pathetic

Bill Simmons is a total douche. Come on now, he's just another bitter fan. His stuff is a joke, just like all of the crap that is posted on here and in those stupid blogs/forums. OKC didn't do anything wrong, Seattle dropped the ball and they paid the price, that's all. There was no screwjob. They operated with a smug, arrogant attitude and it ended up costing them their only pro sports franchise with any real meaning. Sorry, but it's true. Nobody misses Seattle, why should they?

I can't think of one person outside of the state of Oklahoma that is happy for what happened last year. I take from Bill Simmons, the Team That Shall Not Be Named belongs in Seattle.

ok picture yourself living in washington 49 years and sonics arived a little later then they were your team 40 years then oklahomo came in and stole the tame and named them selves the stealers ... wait no thunders (but to everyone in seattle its the stealers) and just left you there hopeless.

you ppl in seattle are stupid!!! all you had to do was find public funding for a new arena and you couldn't even do that!!! so stop crying about loosing your team. maybe if you guys showed up and spoke up when it was time instead of waiting until the last minute you would still have a team.

We may live in the northwest, but money doesn't grow on trees. We are still paying for Safeco and Qwest, and the Kay was just remodeled 12 years ago in which Stern called it "One of the best places to watch a game."
With all the e-mails coming out, it's obvious that Bennett didn't operate in good faith, the Schultz case is going to expose him even more.
