If you compare the UN data about population under the poverty line the US has numbers comparable to emerging economies:
population under the poverty line in the US= 15.1%
in Brazil= 15.5%
Now I think that probably the left wing will gain some power in the US

more than half of these pictures weren't even in the US and the pictures with the hispanics i'm sure they were illegal immigrants who live in poverty because they are unable to find a decent job. i read an article on yahoo about poverty in the US and the majority of poor people have internet, cable and a dishwasher. poor people in the US live 10 time better than the actual real "poverty" of the world where children don't have clothes and water to drink. USA should do something about illegals!!
