FFXI: A Shantotto Ascension - Final Battle

The Final Battle of the newest Add-on A Shantotto Ascension Our Team: Serenia: WHM/SCH Sages: SMN Orinam: SMN Yekyaa: SMN Ultimadragon: SMN Shishiboo: SMN This battle was crazy, before the battle you can go through the Temple of Uggalepih and collect 16 optional "Hexes" which give you bonuses in the fight and these bonuses are HUGE ranging from +150 all states +150 to all elemental resistance, 3x max HP and MP, and a one time only No Weakness Reraise if you die. I felt mostly useless in this battle as 5 SMNs pretty much destroy this battle... I decided not to post the final cutscenes I believe Sages has something planned with those, and he can get higher quality then what I can anyway. I prepared a special bonus at the end where in Sages and I model our outfits from all 3 add ons.

How big was the monitor this was played on? 12"?

@strikerk Recorded from PS2 version of FFXI using the lowest recording settings due to my PC not being very powerful. Otherwise I'd get major desync and lag in the video. So please take your quality whoring elsewhere and have a nice day :D

Just asking an honest opinion! The game looks like it has the resolution of a small television. Not trying to be a dick, but dude, look at that UI and the fuzziness. It's wild. Makes me kind of nostalgic, and kinda not. X3

Sorry, the fuzziness comes from a couple of things honestly, 1) I had my dazzle wired through my VCR when I made this video (the VCR was really fuzzy as is, bad wires I guess) and because I had to record at the lowest settings on my pinacle program to make sure it didn't desync (My computer currently isn't very powerful) Its recorded off a 20inch TV though, but that doesn't matter all that much for the video itself

let them shut down ffxi.. so they can work more on ffxiv and make it better where people will want to play the new ff :) and we will all be a happy and satisfied community

@scottyboii23 Heres the thing. Not everyone is the same. The dev teams are split so that both games are still strong and still underway. Sorry but "WE" won't be a happy community if they shut down FFXI, *YOU* might be, but not *WE* There are still die hard fans of FFXI that do not wish to see it end. There are those of us that are still attached to our characters that we've busted our asses to build and maintain. I respect your opinion however.

Awh. But I do miss playing this... playing all night until the crack of dawn.. then sleeping for like 3 hrs cause you cant wait to play again... Good times.. :)

WOW. it those are alot of buffs you guys used during the fight. the Shantotto Ascension must be really hard. but then again FFXI is still a very good game even though it it old. i know alot of people prefer to play FFXIV more than XI, but in MY OPINION i prefer both of them.

@scottyboii23 No offense but FFXIV is cool and everything but shutdown FFXI no thanks... not after all the work i invested into my character... I don't know if u quitted or got banned or retired or whatever reason u may have, but half us old people that still play it don't want it to die out yet :). I know the post is old but theres still alot of new stuff to do ingame now. And i'm on Lakshmi server ~Kealoha~
