I caught Rick and Johnny on this tour. They played Seattle just before or after this was recorded. I was a young guitar player. I almost gave up after hearing these guys. I didn't give up and found my own thing...I do love hearing this after all those years.

I thought that this was a different song, but in thinking again carefully, I guess that I should ask the question instead, if this isn't the same song as Johnny's 1971 release of BB King's "It's My Own Fault" as he recorded it on the 1971 Sony/Legacy live "Johnny Winter And " with Rick Derringer providing the rhythm track.

Yeah... Your right about that, And so did Roy Buchanan..R.I.P.

@DougRoxxx I'll 2nd that, they should take note of how it was really done back in the day when they knew how to play with feel.

what tone deaf motherfkrs dislike THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That most definitely is Rick Derringer on the 2nd ( or co-1st) guitar .... The most amazing guitar duo ever, hands down - Like as if they could telepathically read each other's minds ,,,, The rhythm parts are so dead solid right on, and totally improv .... And, when they just let it fly and both played lead together, they actually were able to play "counterpoint" off each other, again totally improv .... This IS The Real Deal, Kids ..... Listen .....
