Writing the 10-Minute Play Jan 28-Mar 4, 2011, Fridays, 10:00 am--12:00 noon with Lynne Kaufman.
A 10-minute play is like a streak of theatrical lightning. Extremely popular and widely produced, this form is an excellent
way for beginning playwrights to learn the craft, or for writers in any medium to sharpen their skills in dialogue and
dramatic structure. The compression of the short play also helps you create vivid characters and engaging stories. We'll
study several examples. Then you'll devise and write your own 10-minute plays, enact them in class, and participate in
constructive critiques. Class size is limited.
