WoW Death Knight Corpse Explosion replacement with Diablo 2 sound

I played a lot of Diablo 2 and it had Corpse Explosion. When the Necro cast Corpse Explosion, it wasn't just a boom, it's was an orchestra of death with a single peal of a chord.

I thought Blizzard was going to pay tribute to this skill when they announced the Death Knight was going to cast Corpse Explosion. Nothing doing and you just got a poof instead of a hell-shriek of bloated corpses covering the area around with a putrid mist.

To do this, you need to find the wav of Corpse Explosion. In your WoW directory, put this wav file into the directory \World of Warcraft\Data\Sound\Spells and copy it to three differently named wav files.

DeathKnight_Ghoul_Explode1.wav
DeathKnight_Ghoul_Explode2.wav
DeathKnight_Ghoul_Explode3.wav

Next time you load the game, any corpse explosion and ghoul self destruct and the sound of the activation of the Corpse Explosion skill will be replaced with the D2 sound.

Which is (did I mention) completely awesome?

Woe to the people who never played Diablo 2. You probably think this is the most annoying sound but it's something you have to associate with the visuals of the D2 spell.

So awesome, i couldnt agree more! i felt the exact same way, Corpse explosion in diablo 2 was so amazing then blizzard just took a big old dump all over it with wow. Where do you get the .wav file of the real D2 corpse explosion?

Yeah because 1. DKs are noobs and 2. it was just useless and every kid spammed it all the time. Just made the kids happy.

Hey, could you tell me what unitframe addon you're using? And what are those green and blue right and left of the character doing? I'm guessing it shows the duration of your diseases or something but I'm not sure. :o
