  • It roughly cost me $10,000 to build but i did it myself and the cedar was free from a friend.

  • is there a height restriction since you tow it on the road, bridges and such?

  • @frankie2234 ,in nc the hight restriction is 13'6" and i built it 13'2"

  • Awesome trailer! Did you get a chance to weigh it yet?

  • @DallasAB It`s 6,740 lbs

  • Travis,

I just LOVE your tiny home. Mine is being built now. IT is the same interior size as yours with a larger front porch. It will be similar to yours inside except i will have my bathroom on the same side as the kitchen. I won't have that small wall where your heater is. It will just be a dividing wall between the ba and cubby area. Can you tell me the door way measurement that leads to your tv room please? Thanks so much,

    Tonita

  • @nnu110 yes Tonita, it`s 20" wide

  • Very nice. I just ran accross the idea of tiny homes - You have the only Lusby construction/walkthrough videos I can find on YouTube! I think it would be a great project to throw $3k-$5k per year at, and learn as you go, rather than dish out the entire $10k-$25k in under a year (especially for those of us attending college). If I go through with the project I will probably remove the downstairs room and turn the bathroom counter-clockwise to make room for a small sofa.

Have you ever seen what is in the walls of a travel trailer? Smoke and mirrors 2by2's and aluminum foil.

There is no comparison to a Tiny House. 11 ft cathedral ceilings, real insulation, full kitchen and shower.

A true house only tiny. Tour one sometime, your viewpoint will shift.

  • Why didn't you just buy a used travel trailer for a couple thousand dollars? It would be lighter and cheaper.

  • Jump back and kiss yourself because this is a well thoughtful layout and excursion. I can not believe how many features you put into this small wonder home. Did I see a dishwasher??? WOW! I envy all of you, who have the space in your yards to make your beautiful creations. Who wouldn't be proud to use that bathroom. Love the video, music and editing enjoyable! THANK YOU!

  • Great job!

  • Asome job, inspiration for me for sure! Great work

  • AWsome job, inspiration for me for sure!!

  • I really like the way you framed in the shower. When I installed one in my house, I didn't know what to do with the fiberglass flangest. I know they connect to the studs, but then what? Just butting up my wall panels (drywall, cardboard wall sheets that look like tile, etc) over the flange against the shower didn't seem right. Where is the holding tank for your RV toilet?

  • Your lay out is about the best I have seen out of the tiny trailer houses. It really seems less than tiny, too. It looks really big. The cabinet for storing food, the regular size shower, where the kitchen is located, porch... I love this home. Did you find the trailer new or used? Is that as RV toilet? Is it a electric Cadet type of heater? I see you added an on demand propane heater, very very cool. If you are in/near Portland, I would love to check this place out sometime. Home dream of mine.
