Will one of these fit in a normal Ak74?

I'm not sure why everyone has a problem doing the BHO spring. Might be a hand dexterity thing? The way I do it is to install the trigger and slave pin with the BHO spring in place first. Then, install the BHO and hammer, using a small pick through the right-hand side of the receiver to get the BHO and hammer axis holes lined up as you insert the pin. Once both pins are installed, you can pull the BHO out a little and use an angled pick to pull the BHO spring up and on to the tang on the BHO.

I have a FCG purchased in a conversion parts kit from Carolina Shooters Supply, and they grind the hammer and modify everything for you at no extra charge. I purchased everything for my conversion from them and have nothing but good to say. I ordered everything last monday night, and recieved it friday.

Can't use the old one, and still be legal. It's a silly law that requires a certain number of U.S. made parts, if the weapon has too many cosmetic features...

Have you done this to your AK? You should do a video on it.

I installed mine yesterday. Talk about frustrating. I think it took just as long to put the spring back in as the whole conversion did. I'd get it 99% of the way, and the spring would pop out. I ended up bending the end of the spring so it would hook the little lip on the bolt hold open. After I did that it worked like a charm.
where'd you get the bolt hold open from ?

Make sure it is 922r compliant. You get 3 compliance parts by doing the FCG.
