so @worstnameever, Jack White is not a rip-off of the blues. If he is to any degree, then its less of a degree than most people who ever sang a rock and roll song, because they're all indebted to the blues in some form or another. If it weren't for Jack White, many of us would enjoy rock and roll without realizing it's heritage, thus forsakening the authenticity of the art. Same with "The Union Forever." If you think that's a rip off- suck it. If you thought it was an original- suck it harder.

yeah, once we commit ourselves to what "the point is" or "why" we enjoy, attend, etc. these arbitrary activites, the end is near. The "hipster" is a product of post-modernism. Essentially, striving to be different has become normal, and no we are just really confused. I don't think Jack White is a hipster. He is always reaching back and acknowledging influence....the "hipster" condition is just threatening to authenticity. See Art in the Mechanical Age by W. Benjamin.

@TheBestNameEver34 goes from a frizzy mop hair to high end sculpted hair and clothes and stuff..plus the contrived 'minimalist' approach, plus his blatant rip-off of blues and such. he's still a decent guitarist/songwriter though, but vastly over-rated
