and frankly lino wasn't even an artist in 71. it wasn't until 8 years after that that he expanded from the factories he worked in to visiting pilchuck, and that was a year AFTER his brother in law did it once and didn't feel comfy doing it again.
thing i love about afro is, he's the first generation of italian maestro (at least that i've seen) to actually be a pure artist designer in linos lineage. its exciting to see what the next couple generations of glass guys from murano are doing!
