I know this song from the seventees. I was about 24 years old and really Bert this has always been of my favourites, being a flemish guy I had some difficulty withe the lyrics. You're passed away now but I keep on listening to this song and I see you smiling...

This is the first I heard about Bert's untimely death.. :(
I do remember that day vividly though, the 5th of October, as I called my brother to wish him a happy birthday. But I spent most of the day on the couch, sick from the chemotherapy I'd been getting.. I'm really sad to see he lost his battle against cancer. His music will live on..

A beautiful, quiet, musical giant, not only a brilliant instrumentalist but a great songwriter and original voice. The only real contender Dylan's "crown", though they were vastly different musicians and people.
