This is footage of the snowstorm / aftermath that hit the plain states on 12/9 and 12/10/2009. The storm was at its peak overnight, shutting down I-80 and I-35 in Iowa. I got over a foot of snow at the rest area I stopped at in Nebraska and it took me about an hour to dig out of the snowdrift I was in the following morning. Over 80 accidents were reported in Iowa alone with this storm. The accidents shown in this video is just a small fraction of what I saw.

The snow blowing across the road is hypnotizing. I used to live in upstate NY and I remember driving in the snow like that. Now, I live west of the Donner Summit on Rt 80. I'm not a driver, you guys are great. Safe driving... Randy

Winter driving gives the idiots a time to shine, we just came from a trip home like that storm, blowing snow etc, great video!

@WesternStar4900SA Unfortunately you don't have to be an idiot to end up in the ditch. Not much you can do when there is zero traction under your tires. But I agree, the idiots tend to show themselves much more in crappy weather. Thanks for the comment and take care!
