two sm25's would sound awesome, but the sm25 doesn't get as voxey as the sm40. I really dig the el84's for cleans. I like to use different types of amps to get as dynamic a sound as possible. I'll be in stl to pick up my sm25, i'll check out the bambino then.

It would be fully miked up. Just looking for something along the lines a classic semi-clean voxey type sound. You think the bambino is up to it or should i put my money on an sm40?

If you are using an SM25 for overdrive, why not another SM25 for clean? Of course one SM25 *will* do it all. All 3 channels are well matched: normal, bright & stack! :) But, hey, 2 SM25s? Why not?! Twice as much tone!

Another thought here. If you get a Bambino, then you've got the clean sound covered and a great studio-home amp in addition. Man, they are all really great amps. Can you try them out at a local store? Enjoy!

Christopher, great demos! I'm having anthony build me an sm25 here pretty soon. Here's my question for you regarding the bambino. Is the bambino enough amp to play along side the sm25? Looking for a chimey sound to complement the sm25. Let me know what you think
Thanks

Thanks. Glad you found value in them! The Bambino is *enough* up to a certain point. If you are in the studio, it is fine, because you can get everything you need out of it in isolation. If you are on stage, it can be enough to rely on miked via PA. It obviously won't totally keep up with the SM25 full open in raw stage volume. So, it depends upon the application & situation!
